Viet Nam opposes China fishing

(Zdung Trieu law firm)_ Foreign Ministry spokesman Luong Thanh Nghi yesterday affirmed that Viet Nam opposes the Chinese Department of Fisheries' ban on fishing in the East Sea.

His statement was made in response to questions from the press about Viet Nam's reaction to the department declaring its fishing ban in the East Sea between May 16 and August 1.

"Viet Nam's stance on this issue was clearly announced on January 20. Viet Nam opposes China's unilateral decision and considers this as invalid," he said. — VNS
