CompassThe best shape of a house is the square one. It is the balanced shape and also the symbol of the Earth, which has inductive and supportive features. Rectangular houses are also high valued.L-shape houses are considered ugly because they look like butcher’s knives, having the worst position at “blade”. If kid’s room is located here, he would feel lonely and may think of many bad things. If an elderly lives here, he may feel ill-treated.

Harmony with the surroundings.
The position of our house depends on the living environment as well as its harmony with other houses, influencing our comfort when living. If we live in a large villa located lonely in a road of small houses, we will be separated from the society. Similarly, if a house’s design is too different from the others around, it is not suitable with this environment.

Strict regulations on construction projects have kept the “soul” of towns and villages, where people are aware of the society. In contrast, skyscraper buildings, which are not restricted to the height and arisen between the two-floor houses, will make the air diluted. People here are not aware of the society as well.
When redecorating our house, we must notice its impacts on other houses around. If our house is the only one made of plaster in the row of brick houses, it is self-isolated and may change the air characteristic of the area. If all houses are built followed the same architectural model while we want to change kinds of windows or designs, we will damage energy of the environment. Main doors, chimneys and verandah all contribute for the balance of not only our house but also the whole quarter.
