At the invitation of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam, a Chinese Government's delegation led by Deputy Minister of Commerce Mr. Khuong Tang Vi visited Vietnam and attended the 7th session of Vietnam - China Economic, Trade Cooperation Committee held in Hanoi.
The two sides were pleased that Vietnam - China trade relation has been developed remarkably since the 6th session of Vietnam - China Economic Trade Cooperation Committee. Two-way trade turnover between the two countries in 2010 reached 27 billion USD, higher than the target of 25 billion USD set by leaders of both countries.
At the session, the two sides reached a consensus in areas of mutual concern such as: the trade imbalance between the two countries; the border economic cooperation; the establishment of information and experience exchange mechanism among concerned agencies of the two countries; preferential credits of China for infrastructure construction projects, transportation, health, agriculture, staff training in Vietnam, etc...
On the same day, Mr. Khuong Tang Vi and the Chinese Government 's delegation attending the 7th session of Vietnam - China Economic, Trade Cooperation Committee in Hanoi also visited Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai and Minister of Industry and Trade Vu Huy Hoang.
The delegation showed their thanks to Vietnam for the warm, caring and friendly welcome during the visit and working time in Vietnam. On behalf of the delegation, Mr. Khuong Tang Vi invited the Vietnamese Government's delegation to visit China and attend the 8th session of Economic, Trade Cooperation Committee of both countries.
The session was taken place in a friendly, sincere, and straightforward atmosphere and achieved good results.
